In Tobiano horses can be trained to increase their value and chance to win at shows. Riding can be simulated in the horse profile, but you can take your horse out into the world to ride to gain more skill.

Training tiers
Horse training in Tobiano is split into 5 different tiers. Tier 1 is the most basic backing and training, and tier 5 is the highest level of training. Horses need to have a good foundation in training before they can try harder tiers. A minimum of 50% in the previous tier is required to try exercises in the next tier. At first, new exercises will be harder to get right, but as the horse gains training points they have more of a chance to succeed. If your horse fails at a lot of movements or works in faster gaits for a while, they will get stressed and eventually stop and refuse to work. Take frequent breaks on a long rein to reduce stress.
Training progression
As the horse progresses in their training, they are able to collect more and show more flashy gaits. Horses at the most basic training won’t be able to collect at all. Collection increases the chance of succeeding at exercises, but it also increases the physical load on the horse (stress). You can take breaks in walk on a long rein to reduce stress. Remember to reinforce behaviours that you want your horse to learn. Reinforcing costs focus, so it’s better to save reinforcement for harder exercises. A handy list of exercises for each tier can be found on the help page in the riding scene. Remember to cool out your horse at the end of the session to reduce stress this gives your horse more gains from your training.
